Making a smarter signal
When I was in high school, my parents bought me a traffic signal for my birthday. Why? I don’t know. But I was determined to do something cool with it.
It was featured on Hackaday (and again) in 2005.
I was also interviewed for a feature in the book Makers by Bob Parks.
A decade later, after purchasing our first house, I added an ultrasonic sensor and converted it to a garage parking assistant.
Next steps? Probably rewiring and configuring it for ESPhome.
